How Does it Work?

1. Fill out the donation form online or call (888) 828-0022. Provide information about your car and where it will be picked up.

2. A local towing agent will call you within two to three business days to schedule a pick up time most convenient for you.

3. After your car is sold, you’ll receive an email that contains a tax receipt.

FAQs

  • Yes! We accept running and non-running cars. We do ask that your car have at least two inflated tires and be in a tow accessible location, such as a driveway or on a street. Special Olympics Idaho also accepts trucks, motorcycles, boats, planes, snowmobiles, heavy machinery, trailers and RV's on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions about a vehicle you’d like to donate, call us at (888) 828-0022.

  • You’ll need to have a clear title in order to complete your car donation. If you can’t find your title, you’ll have to apply for a duplicate title. Instructions on how to sign your Idaho title over to our authorized agent, Advanced Remarketing Services, can be found here or you can call our processing center at (888) 828-0022 and a customer service representative can walk you through the process.

  • Our trusted agent, Advanced Remarketing Services, returns 75-80% of the gross selling price of your car back to Special Olympics, the highest of any vehicle donation program!

  • Within 30 days of the sale of your vehicle, you'll receive an email with a tax receipt for your car donation. If your car sold for over $500, you can claim the full selling price when you itemize taxes. If it sold for less than $500, you can claim the fair market value up to $499. Please consult with your tax advisor on the best way to claim your Special Olympics Idaho car donation tax deduction.
