All athletes new to Special Olympics Idaho are required to complete the NEW Athlete Registration. Even if you have participated in Special Olympics in another state. As of November 1, 2024 current athletes will be notified for renewal and they will also have to fill out the NEW Athlete Registration. Then athletes will be asked to complete a renewal form yearly.

Special Olympics Idaho offers 13 different sports throughout the year from football and basketball to Aquatics & Floor Hockey. Join a local team and start training in an upcoming season. Idaho athletes train for Winter, Summer, and Fall Sports. Whatever your sport, we’ve got a team waiting for you to join and shine!
Athlete Leadership
Athletes have an opportunity to become leaders of the movement by joining the Special Olympics Idaho Board or serving on the Law Enforcement Torch Run Council. Develop your leadership skills by working on a Local Program Management Teams. Your involvement in a leadership role ensures athletes have a voice and representation at every level of the organization.
Global Messenger
Become a Global Messenger and develop your skills communicating the message of Special Olympics in the community, at events, and with our partners. Global Messengers are the face of the movement and share the joy of Special Olympics with others to recruit new athletes, volunteers, community partners and sponsors.
